Look Evil In The Eye And Stand Against it

Learn the lessons of history or be doomed to repeat the mistakes

Last night, Monday – Mar. 8th, I could not get to sleep so I decided to watch an old movie on TCM. The movie was called “Confessions of a Nazi Spy”. As the story unfolded, I could not believe how it matched up to what is happening in the world today. All one had to do was substitute the word’ Islam’ for every reference to ‘Nazi’ or ‘Germany’, and it became a present day narrative. The similarity to today was unbelievably close. I would encourage everyone to take a look at this flick if you have the time. You will find it eerily familiar for a movie made in 1939.

In the movie, the ‘enemy within’ (the American Nazi leader in New York) preaches that no German in America should put the American constitution above their loyalty to the fatherland. And that the American democracy must be destroyed so that loyal German-American citizens can save Americans from themselves.

Also note that the review below says that this was the first movie of its kind. After this one was so successful, other Hollywood studios began work on similar productions of their own. Edward G. Robinson received death threats (so said the gentleman who introduced the movie) as did many other of the workers involved in the film.

Isn’t it sad that there are no courageous movie makers in this generation who will produce a movie that exposes the truth of the threat we face today. It would be so easy with so much evidence presenting itself every day. But the Politically correct climate is almost in total control of the mainstream media as well as the popular culture.

Please, if you get a chance, take a look at this movie.

A Soldier Speaks Out on Iraq, from Iraq

Written by: Diana West
Monday, January 25, 2010 7:16 AM

Today, I am posting an extraordinary letter from a soldier currently stationed in Iraq, a sometime penpal of mine to whom I sent my three-part series on the aftermath of the surge to elicit his opinion. Knowing how thoughtful he is, I expected a substantive response. Given his time constraints alone, I did not expect an essay of this scope and I decided, with his permission, to present it here. It is unlike any commentary I have read from Iraq; it is both coolly reasoned and deeply passionate, and certain to challenge and disturb readers across the political spectrum: PC-believing liberals, Iraq-as-success-believing conservatives, Islam-as-a-religion-of-peaceniks of both Left and Right.

So be it.

He writes:

I apologize for the delay in my response. I have been putting in long days … lately and I hadn’t had the time to put the thought and effort into writing this until now.

Your three-part column series wonderfully analyzes Iraq and reaches the correct strategic assessment that no one in power wants to acknowledge.

I have many things that I want to say but I do not wish to waste your time and I therefore put an executive summary at the beginning of this e-mail so you can skip the expanded version if you wish.

*****
You correctly assessed that we have not gained anything positive from our efforts in Iraq and that the nation is not our ally. (The same is true for Afghanistan.) I will go as far as saying that the Iraqis are our enemies—enemies better equipped to wage jihad against us than they have ever been. We will regret what we have done. We will regret that we created this officially Islamic nation. And we will regret that we created an officially Islamic Afghanistan. We will regret that we have placed ourselves in the service of Islam, waging jihad worldwide as we advance the Religion of Peace and eliminate Christians in the process. (So much for the accusation that the U.S. is on a “Crusade.”) It is a shame that so many people refuse to recognize how horrible Islam is, and that the U.S. made a fatal mistake when it refused to declare war against Afghanistan and Islam—when it refused victory by binding the greatest military force of all time.

*****

The Full Analysis:

Parts 1 and 2 of “The ‘Surge’ and ‘Success’” correctly identify that we have gained nothing positive for our efforts in Iraq while the Iraqis have betrayed us. I do not trust any Iraqi or Middle Easterner. I do not care if anyone calls me a “racist” or “bigot” anymore. Those words have lost their meaning. Do I think that every single Iraqi or Middle Easterner is bad? No. But I think it is difficult to tell. An Iraqi or Middle Easterner will smile to your face or be your best friend one moment, and cut your head off in the next. It is odd that so many people cannot comprehend this. It is even weirder that those who pride themselves on being “culturally aware” cannot grasp that Middle Eastern culture and thought, and Islamic behavior and thought are completely different than ours (than ours on the Right, at least). Perhaps this ignorance partially explains why the U.S. had no reaction when Maliki declared victory over the U.S. when we moved out of the major Iraqi cities. But even if it is a partial explanation it still is no excuse.

The Iranian War in Iraq is a travesty and has been since it started under Bush. I still cannot believe that a nation can war against us and murder Servicemen, and not pay the price of oblivion for it. Our nation sits back and apologizes, and defends itself constantly from accusations of an “illegal” and “unjust” war yet Iranians, other foreign terrorists, and even Iraqis go about murdering American troops without any consequence whatsoever. We should war back against them. But we won’t.

I remember when people said that we had brought on the September 11 attacks because “we created Bin Laden.” I never understood that. In fact, that we had helped the Afghanis defeat the Soviet Union should have been even more reason for us to kill Bin Laden and destroy Afghanistan. We had saved their lives and they repaid us for it by murdering us on our own soil. Yet our government refused its God-given duty to its people to mete out punishment and justice. History repeats with Iraq. The Iraqis lived under oppression for decades and when we liberated their nation they repaid our unimaginable mercy and sacrifice with betrayal. It is sickening.

Part 3 (“Victory” in Iraq? Really?) perfectly summarized where the U.S. is now in our “war” in Iraq. Once we made Iraq an officially Islamic country I knew that it would become among our worst enemies. (The same is true for Afghanistan.) I said years ago that the end result of our efforts will be that Iraq will be a rebuilt nation better prepared than ever to wage jihad against us. You cannot create an officially Islamic nation and expect anything less. Regrettably, our leaders and our nation cannot identify Islam for what it is: evil. And so we continue our suicidal practice. The Iraqi betrayal of the U.S. started sooner than I expected it but I expected it nonetheless. This is outrageous. Yet the situation is even more unjust than this.

Muslims have waged jihad against the West since their insane, pedophiliac founder started their cult; they have waged jihad against the U.S. since our inception. But what is worse about our policy of establishing officially Islamic nations and pouring money, technology, weapons, and training into them is that we have been labeled as “occupiers” being on a “Christian crusade to wipe out Islam.” Think about that. We have been demonized as “occupying Christian crusaders” (if only!) even as we have waged jihad in the service of Islam, helped Muslims spread Islam and wipe out Christians, and died for ungrateful Iraqis even as terrorists from all over the war invaded and occupied Iraq, and slaughtered and oppressed Iraqis. (And don’t even get me started on the fact that we—the United States of America—are truly being invaded and occupied by illegal aliens warring on us!)

I am woefully understating the situation when I say that the U.S. has no clue how to fight wars any longer. We have allowed our enemies to control this war and make it one of media and information—information warfare / information operations . We have chosen not to win by refusing to reject the enemies’ preferred warfare; we have chosen not to wage a kinetic warfare where we could easily defeat our enemies in months if not weeks with our superior technology, tactics, and Servicemen. And through it all we seem not the least bit embarrassed that a “coalition” of dozens of nations cannot beat a primitive bunch of troglodytes. I no longer can express my outrage about this or any of the myriad horrors which plague our once great land. Every day there is something new which is more perverse and inequitable than the last day’s wickedness. I sit here in Iraq and do all I can do to stomach the disastrous excuse that passes for “strategy” in this war—a strategy where our leaders openly say that the lives of our Islamic enemies are worth more than ours; a “strategy” where the Army Chief of Staff openly states that the “death of diversity” would be a larger tragedy than the slaughter of Soldiers (and get away with it with but a whisper of outcry from the American people). I pray that I get out of here alive so I can complete my Army contract and get away from this nonsense and betrayal.

Two final things.

First, I wonder how many people have considered how successful the September 11, 2001 Islamic attacks were. Think about what they accomplished. They thrust Islam to the center of the world; they undoubtedly caused more people to learn about Islam than would have prior to their attacks. And the attacks combined with the near non-response of the U.S. doubtlessly gained them converts. Furthermore, what response the United States did produce resulted in the establishment, enrichment, and training of the officially Islamic nations of Iraq and Afghanistan, and the enrichment and training of countless other Muslim nations around the globe. Islam now stands better suited than ever to wage jihad across the world. The September 11 attacks also resulted in Muslims being portrayed as victims around the world (thanks to their leftist allies) and helped them (again, with an assist from their leftist allies) advance their jihad even as Muslims and leftists further vilified Christianity, America, and Western values. And finally the crowning achievement of the September 11 Islamic attacks: eight years after them the United States places as its leader a person whom can at best be described as an anti-American, racist, Islamic sympathizer (and who has the same name as an infamous Islamic dictator). This is stunning. It is bizarre. It is incomprehensible. Yet it is our nightmarish reality. The Islamic attacks on September 11, 2001 achieved success beyond the wildest dreams of the Religion of Peace cultists.

Finally, I would like you to know that I am willing to comment on other posts and articles that you publish, including some of your other posts that mention the debate that your three-part column on the Surge started. I am willing to comment for two reasons.

The first reason is that everyone on the Right needs to fight back against the Islamic War on the West and stop the jihad. And one of the ways to fight back is to speak out against it. The second reason is that I want to establish for posterity that I am firmly against this evil and every other evil. I will explain why this matters.

Leftists always rewrite history so as to demonize what is Right and so as to cover their real nature. They abhor the truth as much as the vilest of Muslims. And as a way to enable their rewriting of history they use political correctness to silence opponents; to vilify them so that they have no place in society. We have allowed leftists to use political correctness to emasculate us. In fact, political correctness is the leftist weapon of choice in paralyzing the Right and aiding their Islamic allies who also advance an anti-Christian, anti-Foundational America agenda. Political correctness is what prevents us from fighting back against the left, and what prevents us from fully fighting back against the jihad and ending the Islamic threat. Political correctness makes us acquiesce to the left so as to be “moderate” and “bipartisan.” Our capitulation to the left will doom us physically by allowing the Muslims and left to eliminate the last vestiges of the West and it will doom us historically as our enslaved descendants will look back and ask how we could have allowed the twin insanities of Islam and the left to control and destroy us when we easily could have defeated them both. Our descendants will condemn us for remaining idle in the face of evil . . . and the leftists of the future will use our submission and our descendants’ condemnation to manipulate history and blame us as the originators of the horrific agenda that they instituted. The future left will use our sinful surrender to pave the way for them to control and destroy civilization once more (all in the name of “progressivism” of course).

I do not want leftists to be able to do this. I do not want them to easily rewrite history in the future. I want to be a loud voice (wherever I may be) that opposes everything Islam and the left want. I want there to be no doubt that I, a Right-wing Christian, utterly reject them and their core beliefs. I want to make it all but impossible for future leftists to say that, “It was the Christian Right who enabled and supported the worldwide jihad (not to mention the global warming hoax, the sexual perverts, and the freedom hating communists)! It was the Christian Right who wanted them to take over and destroy the world!” I want to make it all but impossible for future leftists to say that atheists, humanists, and secularists (like Bruce Bawer, Christopher Hitchens, Tammy Bruce, and a few others) tried to oppose the Islamic War on the West but “could not convince the mentally inferior but numerically superior Right-wing Christians to join them!” I want to counteract the in-name-only Christians and conservatives who have bought into the “Religion of Peace” and leftist nonsense, and who will do untold additional amounts of damage to civilization and our good name with their cravenness and rejection of Truth. And that is why I am willing to comment on more of your posts.

I know I am in the minority with my beliefs but I do not care. I want to be like the 300—not just the ones who fought at Thermopylae—but the 300 who fought with Gideon against the Midianites. I want to stand for the Truth.

Keep up the good work.

Sincerely,

A US soldier in Iraq

‘The Life and Religion of Mohammed’ by Rev. J.L. Menezes

IS ISLAM A “RELIGION?” – OR A “CULT OF DEATH?”

Gordon Bishop On the Issues

You won’t find it in bookstores. Even Amazon.com doesn’t keep it in inventory. And if it were up to certain “moderate” Muslim American leaders, you wouldn’t be able to read it at all.

This book is about the self –annointed prophet, Mohammed, who wrote the Koran (Qur’an) because Allah (his God) told him to create this new ideology or religion in the 7th Century. Since then, the Muslim world has been trapped in a time warp of the dark, medieval ages that has long been out of sync with the modern, civilized world.

Simply put, this book dares to tell the truth about the so-called “moderate” Muslims who don’t want you to know the truth about the founder of this anti-life, Islamic movement, which is more about the death to all Jews, Christians and “infidels” than a genuine religion of faith and life.

The book, The Life and Religion of Mohammed – The Prophet of Arabia, was not written to insult Muslims. Hardly. The author, Reverend J.L. Menezes, was a Roman Catholic priest who lived and administered among Muslims, and who strove to speak “the truth in charity” to the souls in his care.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), considered by many to be a “moderate” Muslim group (three of whose former associates have been indicted on terrorism-related charges) was so angry about this Mohammed book that, when a well-known conservative magazine dared to offer it for sale on their website, CAIR threatened to organize a boycott of one of the magazine’s major advertisers. The magazine caved and took the book off their website – even though every claim in the book with which CAIR took issue can be readily established from Islamic sources.

Here’s a quick guide into the dark mind of Mohammed:

– How worldly ambition gradually blinded Mohammed’s mind and overwhelmed his early searches for the true God.
– How Mohammed ordered the assassinations of several of his chief opponents.
– How Mohammed again and again justified his plunder and licentiousness with new “divine revelations.”
– Why Mohammed grew so bitter against both Jews and Christians, after initally courting their favor.
– How even Mohammed’s replies to his critics in the Koran are insufficient to refute the charge that he fabricated revelations.
– Islamic “tolerance: Mohammed let Jews and Christians live in his domains – if they paid tribute and accepted second-class status.
– The early history of Islam: Just as bloody as the life of its founder.
– The crisis caused in Islam by the death of Mohammed’s only son – which continues to this day.
– How the Koran doesn’t limit Muslims to four wives, as is widely believed, but actually sets no real limit.
– Why the new religion Mohammed taught became so commonly identified with war and politics.
– Muslim Sunnis, Shiites, Sufis, Motazalites and more: the differences between the various Muslim sects, which is now playing out in the Iraqi War: Muslims killing Muslims.

The paragraph below comes form a web article that references the book mentioned above but has another take in its review. It sheds new light on the ‘Unholy Alliance” between te left and Islam.

The ideal Muslim state is one ruled by Muslim religious leaders and is paradise on Earth. All people are treated with respect, both the faithful and the infidel. The poor and infirm are cared for and peaceful, law abiding folks are the norm. In effect, the perfect Muslim society appears pretty much what liberal Democrats promise if they were in complete control. I do not intend this as sarcasm. The best I can determine from this site projects the same world order the Democrats demand with the added benefit of strict morality maintained by an enforcement arm of the government to see everyone walks the straight and narrow. Of course, most good people will find such enforcement no burden as they will be able to live free of the fear of crime and assault. Even random dishonesty will be weeded out. Those who object will be bad people and no one will mind if bad people are harshly dealt with. A good and moral paradise without crime or fear where everyone, the faithful and the infidel live in brotherly love and mutual respect.

A Cautionary Tale…..

By Mark M. Haney, A Concerned American

This is a message to all concerned citizens who long for the ‘America’ our Founders fought so hard to give us.

The left has spent 40 years tearing at the fabric of what has made this country so enduring – our uniquely American culture. Liberals and the destructive left have consumed the Democratic Party, gutting it from within, so that all that remains is a hulking, rotting husk emanating the accompanying stench. This they are attempting to do to the United States of America, unfortunately with too much success.

They have infiltrated the media; education; the academy; the military; the popular culture – mainly Hollywood and the music industry; and finally – they have infected federal, state and local bureaucracies – most critical to the security of the country – their presence has permeated the State department, the CIA and the FBI, making them so politically correct as to be virtually useless in the war against Islamofascism (read “Shadow Warriors” by Kenneth R. Timmerman). Despite their infiltration of the upper levels of the military, with far too many Generals and Colonels in the mold of Wesley (Weasely) Clark, the vast majority of the NCOs and enlisted core are still the heart of the services and are performing heroically in all theatres.

In the education arena, the objective has been to “dumb down” the younger generations so as to preclude them from thinking critically. The music industry did a great job in that effort in the 70’s and 80’s promoting feelings as the basis for decisions rather than thoughtful consideration. How many of you remember the Neil Diamond hit, “Don’t Think, Feel” – that says it all.

And over the past four decades or so, Hollywood has produced countless works meant to subtly (and sometimes not so subtly) undermine America at every turn. Most recently, in this decade, they have taken fresh aim at the military with such current war movies as, “In The Valley of Elah”, “Rendition”, “Redacted” and most recently, “Brothers”. All these movies were designed to present the American Military in a negative light. Fortunately for the country, the bulk of the American citizenry understand this and those movies failed miserably at the box office.

Meanwhile, in the past few years Hollywood, both Television and the Silver Screen, has been taking a new tack – mainstreaming what once was thought of as evil. I am referring to the plethora of Vampire related themes emanating from TV and Movies. In my opinion, television shows such as ‘Angel’, ‘True Blood’, ‘Vampire Diaries’, ‘Moonlight’, ‘Twilight’, and ‘Blood Ties’ continue blurring the lines between good and evil. After decades of being inundated with this drivel, a large percentage of  younger American generations are so morally weak that they have a diminished capacity to differentiate between right and wrong. They have been taught (indoctrinated) that all cultures are equally valid and that it is ‘wrong’ to make judgments to the contrary. Even our president, sadly, has promoted the idea that America is not a Christian nation.

Now, after years of elevating evil, Hollywood now appears to be making an effort to diminish the perception of ‘good’. There is a new movie coming, supposedly opening on January 22nd, called “Legion”. The following is the description from Yahoo Movies: “An out-of-the-way diner becomes the unlikely battleground for the survival of the human race. When God loses faith in Mankind, he sends his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. Humanity’s only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner and the Archangel Michael.”

I watched the trailer and it does the trick, the angels are indeed the ‘bad guys’, with Gabriel as one of their leaders. We, as parents and grandparents, must caution and educate our children, and their children, against this destructive propaganda, and lead them back to the values of American exceptionalism that made this country great. (By the way, Islam is chomping at the bit to fill the void left by the secularization of the country – witness Europe and the UK).

The Three SEALs Deserve Our Gratitude, Not a Court Martial

by  Rep. Mike Rogers  12/14/2009

They are the best of the best in the entire world.  They comprise the top 1 percent of Americans in physical ability, mental aptitude and sheer bravery.

They can push themselves to the physical limits of the human body.  Most have advanced degrees from America’s best universities and many speak multiple languages fluently.

They are America’s Navy SEALs, and they put their lives on the line every day in defense of our nation, all of them willing to die to protect America’s way of life.

Why then would the nation they serve take three SEALs off the battle field and consider putting them through courts-martial proceedings based on their capture of one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq? Ahmed Hashim Abed is believed to have planned the 2004 Fallujah ambush that resulted in the savage murder of four Americans.

On March 31, 2004, four men working as security guards — Scott Helvenston, Wesley Batalona, Jerry Zovko and Michael Teague — were ambushed by insurgents in Fallujah. They were killed, their bodies burned and mutilated, and two were strung up on a bridge over the Euphrates. The insurgents made their own video of the attack, broadcasting the images around the world.

That is the atrocity Ahmed Hashim Abed is accused of plotting and executing. Yet, charges are pending against the three Navy SEALs who captured this terrorist, a man whose goal in life is the death of America and American citizens.

It is well-known that one of al Queda’s key training techniques for operatives includes the directive that if captured they should allege abuse at every opportunity. Charging these American heroes based on the flimsy claims of a top terrorist gives al Queda a strategic advantage and sends the wrong message to the next group of Americans sent out into the shadows to capture one of the bad guys.  Media reports have stated Abed had a fat lip.

That is why every Republican on the House Intelligence Committee has written to Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, stating that while we would never endorse the abuse of any detainee, we are deeply concerned that the investigation and potential prosecution of our Navy SEALs in this case adds nothing to the important debate on detainee treatment. In fact, it may seriously undermine our capability to locate, detain, and interrogate high value targets who despise our values and seek to destroy our way of life.

In part, our comments to Secretary Gates included:

“If, after a thorough and impartial hearing on the alleged violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), these military personnel are sent to Special Courts-Martial, other problems will certainly arise. Any competent trial team will request that Ahmed Hashim Abed testify in court or at least be made available for a deposition. Official guidance governing special operations and terrorist detentions may also become public. We should be very concerned about the disclosure of operational details surrounding special warfare and providing a public forum for terrorists such as Abed to pollute our media with his hatred of American values.

“The strategic ramifications of this issue are staggering. This case effectively will place all Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel on trial. Beyond the specific consequences of a courts-martial, any potential prosecution will also tend to demoralize other Special Operations Forces. These quiet professionals who operate all over the world and work tirelessly to gain the trust of local populations in order to help improve their way of life will have their reputations irreparably damaged. This damage will negatively impact and impede future operational efforts and intelligence gathering.

“We have great respect for the military justice system, but believe that the events concerning these SEALs may damage future special operations. Having spent countless hours with SOF personnel, we know their professionalism and their integrity. Their role in today’s struggle against violent extremism is well-known. We respectfully ask you to review this matter and take this information into account.”

The three SEALs are not being forgotten by their families or by Americans who hear of the outrageous charges against them. Matthew McCabe, Julio Huertas Jr., and Jonathan Keefe, all in their mid-20s, are being defended by family, friends and even strangers who believe it is wrong to prosecute them for doing their job.

Last Monday, a crowd of close to 100 people demonstrated outside the Norfolk, Virginia Naval Station where McCabe, Huertas and Keefe are being held. There were reports that the crowd included people from Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware and Maryland.

The outrage Americans feel about the wrongful prosecution of these three Navy SEALs is blazing across the Internet on Facebook and other social networking sites, and national news outlets like HUMAN EVENTS are making sure these men are not forgotten.

These SEALs and all the men and women of our Special Operations Forces face the enemies of the United States and bring terrorists to justice for the good of the free world.  We owe them a debt of gratitude we can never repay, not a criminal proceeding.

Political Correctness is Weakening the US and its Citizens

Some of the group of soldiers from Fort Hood, that were the target of the terrorist attack, were recently deployed to Iraq. The remaining members of the medical unit, to which the murderous Nidal Malik Hasan was assigned, were with that deployment, absent the three soldiers that Hasan killed in his individual and treasonness act of war on the US. I believe Hasan’s action was only the beginning of this type of individual or small cell jihad. But his act did highlight the glaring elephant in the room with regard to Muslims in our society. The news came out that the US Military, up and down the chain of command, was frozen by political correctness into not taking seriously the multitude of ‘red flags’ that Hasan exhibited during his military service. His peers, superiors and various colleagues, suppressed and ignored the signs that indicated this man was indeed a jihadi. And they continue to gloss over the issue of Islamists working in the military, police and security forces and the department of homeland security, not to mention the staffs of our legislators and even the staff of the highest political office we have.

This simply has to stop. We must define Islam as what it is. The perpetrators of these acts of cowardice and war on our country and the whole of western civilization must be referred to as what they are. We simply must stop the political correct BS and call our enemy by name. If not, then we have no hope of defeating that enemy.

Here is a video of a retired General who gets it. Enjoy, take heart and fight on.

New For November

Well, November certainly was an eventful month for me. Unfortunately, one of the events kept me away from the blog for far too long, but it also provides me with a legitimate excuse.

On November 1st I was honored to be invited to hear the courageous Wafa Sultan speak. She is the author of a book called “A God Who Hates” and is a must read for anyone interested in the truth about Islam. During her talk she mentioned some fascinating realities about the Islamic world that only someone who has lived it and escaped it can truly convey with credibility.

In the fundamental theme of her book, Wafa portrays Islam’s Allah as a fierce ogre in an Arabian parable, raging from a mountaintop: From where he sits, he raves and shrieks, filling people’s hearts with fear by threatening to gobble them up if they leave their homes or do any kind of work at all. The people terrorized by his shrieks, can live only by stealth. Only their survival instinct keeps them going. They steal out like mice in secret to gather enough to keep body and soul together. They live day by day, waiting impatiently for the moment of their death. The fear of this ogre has sapped their intellect and depleted their physical powers, reducing them to despair and hopelessness.

Muhammad, Allah’s Apostle, she notes without apology, “…was a warrior rather than a thinker. He left no moral legacy for his followers to build upon or use as a basis for the societies they founded. Nor did he leave them room outside the boundaries of this law in which they might have exercised their freedoms and perhaps, responding to the demands of time, have invented a moral code of their own.” The most important traditions written and handed down about Muhammad concern his raids and what happened in the course of them. All his teachings stem from the realities of the world he lived in and are the indisputable product of it. If you read the biography of the Prophet from beginning to end you will find no trace of any kind of moral authority.

And in response to the query, “Why do they hate us?”—and forever questioned by foolish and naïve Americans following the 9/11/01 attacks—Wafa Sultan provides these answers: “Because Muslims hate their women, and any group who hates their women can’t love anyone else.”

People [then] ask, “But why do Muslims hate their women?” And I reply, “Because their god does.”

I encourage everyone to read her book and to educate yourselves on the truth about Islam before it is too late.

Then, the following weekend it was my privilege to attend a two-day event hosted by the Conservative Republicans of Collin County in McKinney, Texas. Although I was starting to get sick, I flew down anyway because I wanted to meet and hear the fabulous, and very vivacious, Pamela Geller of the website and blog www.atlasshrugs.com.  Pamela did not disappoint. She is a voice in the wilderness trying to wake Americans up to the threat of radical Islam (which is the true Islam, by the way). We simply must get our heads out of the sand and recognize this totalitarian ideology for what it is. The world is filled with moderate Muslims who wish no harm to anyone and want to be left alone to pursue their own lives. But if just 1% of the world’s Muslim population is radicalized (to use the vernacular), that would equal about 12 to 13 million people who are out to kill any non-believer. I think it is closer to 5% or even 10%, which would be 60 to 120 million of the enemy. Whether it is the former or closer to the latter – it is a formidable force arrayed against us.

The meeting with Pamela Geller occurred a few days after the Fort Hood jihadist attack. Our inept leaders and lame-stream media still cannot bring themselves to call it what it certainly was. And the final story of the murder of the four police officers in Washington State is not in yet either. I will not be surprised to find out that this man was introduced to Islam while in prison.

Upon my return from Texas, I went to the doctor on Monday and by Thursday I was admitted the hospital with a severe case of pneumonia. I was in for almost two weeks, during which time my mother passed away. Fortunately she was brought to the same hospital so I was able to visit her a few times before she died. She never regained consciousness but still it was nice to visit with her for a while. So that is why I have not been submitting blog entries.

Nevertheless, the fight continues. Please look into the truth about Islam. I can recommend the first book I read on the topic. It is called “The Life and Religion of Mohammed” written in the early 20th century by a catholic priest named Fr. J.L. Menezes and directed to the Muslims of India. I highly recommend it as a beginning. Then move on to “The Sword of the Prophet” by Serge Trifkovic – excellent. Then the world  of sourceswill open up to you but among your readings should be Wafa’s book, as well as “Now They Call Me Infidel” by Nonie Darwish, and anything by Robert Spencer. Also visit Spencer’s website www.jihadwatch.com. That’s it for now.

Keep well, stay safe and educate yourselves.

In Memory of those Fallen Heroes who died to keep us Free

The following is from a post at AtlasShrugs.com. I believe it captures the day perfectly. Please pray for our men and women, both living and dead, who have fought (and continue to fight) to keep us free and to free the oppressed.
Our Best & Most Courageous

Our Best & Most Courageous

“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.” — General George Patton.

How much we owe to our soldiers, sailors, and airmen. We cannot do our work unless we know they are doing theirs. We do not have the freedom to live our lives, unless they are there risking their lives to protect that freedom.

In the sloppy terminology so typical of today, it is common to attribute the courage of our soldiers to “self-sacrifice.” But this misses the enormous difference between our soldiers and the malevolent fanatics on the other side, who declare that they want to die because they “love death.” American soldiers do not go into battle because they love death. They go into battle because they love freedom. They love the liberties we enjoy and the prosperous and benevolent society that these liberties make possible. And they realize that someone has to fight to defend all of this.

Our soldiers do not want to die, and they do not expect to die; they know they are far better trained and better armed than their adversaries. But they know that some of them will die, and they believe that freedom is worth that risk. Here is how the family of Petty Officer 1st Class Neil Roberts, the first American soldier to die in Operation Anaconda, expressed it: “He made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that everyone who calls himself or herself an American truly has all the privileges of living in the greatest country in the world.” Robert Tracinski

I know America kicks back, fires up the cue, bangs down the beer and feels good about America. But my heart is always heavy this day. I think of those men and women who laid down their lives for an idea, a principle, a love of freedom and the concept of the individual. I owe them my life.

Yes, we all owe them our gratitude, our respect and our freedom.

Why No Word Of Terror Bust From Obama?

By MICHELLE MALKIN | Posted Friday, May 22, 2009 4:20 PM PT

President Obama’s speech last week on homeland security was 6,072 words long. Curiously, he chose not to spare an “a,” “and” or “uh” on the New York City terror bust that dominated headlines the morning of his Thursday address.

Did the teleprompter run out of room?

After a yearlong investigation launched by the Bush administration, the feds cracked down on a ring of murder-minded black Muslim jailhouse converts preparing to bomb two Bronx synagogues and “eager to bring death to Jews.”

They also planned to attack a New York National Guard air base in Newburgh, N.Y., where the suspects lived and worshiped at a local mosque.

Not one word from the president on the jihadists’ intended victims, motives or means. No comfort for the reported targets in the Big Apple, still raw from the Scare Force One rattling that so vainly and recklessly simulated 9/11. No condemnation for the accused plotters.

Why? Because doing so would force Obama to abandon his cottony “extremist ideology” euphemisms and confront the concrete truth. To borrow one of our obtuse president’s favorite cliches, “let me be perfectly clear” about the reality Obama won’t touch:

America faces an ongoing Islamic jihad at home and abroad. Not merely “man-caused.” But Koran-inspired. Yet, Obama refuses to spell out the centuries-old roots of the war that he claims he’ll win faster, better and cleaner than any of his predecessors.

Moreover, his push to transfer violent Muslim warmongers into our civilian prisons — where they have proselytized and plotted with impunity — will only make the problem worse.

A brief refresher course for the left’s amnesiacs about the festering jihadi virus in our jails and overseas:

An apology: “…the rest of the story”. (Even more scary)

by Pam Geller

I am a student of history.  Professionally, I have written 15 books in six languages, and have studied history all my life.  I think there is something monumentally large  afoot, and I do not believe it is just a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis.  Yes, these exist but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.

Something of historic proportions is happening.  I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about 10 – 15 years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.
We demanded and then codified into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people whom we know could never pay back? Why? We learned recently that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has loaned two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom or why or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine. And that is three times the $700B we all argued about so strenuously just this past September.
Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized it? I thought this was a government of We the People, who loaned our powers to our elected leaders. Apparently not.

We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy.  Why?

We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and no longer teach our founding documents, why we are exceptional, and why we are worth preserving.  Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate.  Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, school boards continue to back mediocrity.  Why?

We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (now violently in California over a proposition that is so controversial that it wants marriage to remain between one man and one woman.  Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago?).  We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic.  To what purpose?

Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse, Social Security is nearly bankrupt,
as is Medicare and our entire government.  Our education system is worse than a joke (I teach college and know precisely what I am talking about.) The list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth.  It is potentially 1929 x 10.  And we are at war with an enemy we cannot name for fear of offending people of the same religion who cannot wait to slit the throats of your children if they have the opportunity to do so.

And now we have elected a man no one knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla, Alaska … All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling if not downright scary (Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders?  No?  Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over and then demand he answer it. Sarah Palin’s pregnant daughter and $150,000 wardrobe are more important.)

Mr. Obama’s winning platform can be boiled down to one word: Change. Why?

I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now.  This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life.  In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure.  Change is indeed coming.  And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again.

I thought I would never be able to experience what the ordinary, moral German felt in the mid-1930s.  In those times, the savior was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing.  What they did know was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory and promises.  Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker.  And he smiled and waved a lot.  And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his “brown shirts” would bully them into submission.

And then he was duly elected to office, with a full-throttled economic crisis at hand [the Great Depression].  Slowly but surely he seized the controls of government power, department by department, person by person, bureaucracy by bureaucracy.  The kids joined a Youth Movement in his name, where they were taught what to think.  How did he get the people on his side?  He did it promising jobs to the jobless, money to the moneyless, and goodies for the military-industrial complex.  He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe and across the world.

He did it with a compliant media – Did you know that?  And he did this all in the name of justice and .. . .. change.  And the people surely got what they voted for.  (Look it up if you think I am exaggerating.)  Read your history books.  Many people objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and made fun of.  When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker.  He was right, though …

Don’t forget that Germany was the most educated, cultured country in Europe …  It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities.  And in less than six years – a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency – it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors.  All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to Hell is paved with them.

As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong, close my eyes, have another latte and ignore what is transpiring around me.

Some people scoff at me; others laugh or think I am foolish, naive, or both. Perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe – and why I believe it. I pray I am wrong. But, I do not think I am.

Since many of you enjoy senior citizen status or will sometime in the not too distant future, I thought you might be interested in this information.

        IN GOD WE TRUST

Everybody that is on this mailing list is either a senior citizen, is getting close or knows sombody that is.

Most of you know by now that the Senate version (at least) of the “stimulus” bill includes provisions for extensive rationing of health care for senior citizens.  The author of this part of the bill, former senator and tax evader, Tom Daschle was credited  today by Bloomberg with the following statement.

Bloomberg: “Daschle says health-care reform will not be pain free. Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them.”

If this does not sufficiently raise your ire, just remember that Senators and Congressmen have their own health care plan that is first dollar or very low co-pay which they are guaranteed the remainder of their lives and are not subject to this new law if it passes.

Please use the power of the internet to get this message out.  Talk it up at the grassroots level.  We have an election coming up in one year and nine months.  We have the ability to address and reverse the dangerous direction the Obama administration and it allies have begun and, in the interim, we can make our voices heard!  Let’s do it!
